2023 Road to Restoration Clinic

For many in Michigan, lack of a driver’s license can be a significant barrier to employment, education, and the ability to take care of loved ones. For over the past year, the Michigan Department of State, the Attorney General’s Office, DTE, United Way, Miller Canfield, Detroit Justice Center and others have hosted drivers’ license restoration clinics throughout the state. These Road to Restoration clinics have travelled from Muskegon to Bay City to Detroit, bringing resources from the public and private sector, nonprofits and law firms to help residents navigate the process of restoring their driving privileges. There is training in advance and experts on site from the Secretary of State and Attorney General’s offices and the Detroit Justice Center to answer your questions. Half-day shifts are available, so volunteers do not need to commit to the whole day. Just a few hours of your time can make all the difference in someone’s life.
