GPW is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Michigan practice. We welcome applications from:
- Third-year law students sitting for the upcoming Michigan Bar Examination
- Newly licensed attorneys
- Attorneys with years of litigation experience
Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda
- Attend and participate in depositions, hearings, and court proceedings
- Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and co-counsel
- Assist with case preparation through trial and resolution
- Work collaboratively with experienced attorneys and support staff
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice in Michigan or eligible for admission following the next Michigan Bar Examination
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Organized, motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities
- A genuine desire to advocate for individuals and families facing serious illness
