The DMBA Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) is a phone-based service to help members of the public find an attorney to help them with their legal issues.

The LRS does NOT provide direct legal assistance.  We have no attorneys on staff who are able to provide legal services.

The LRS is NOT a way to find free or reduced cost legal assistance.  All participating attorneys expect to be paid their regular rates, and the DMBA has no information about those rates.

The LRS IS a way for callers to locate attorneys in the metropolitan Detroit area who specialize in the area of law in which the caller needs assistance.  All of our participating attorneys certify to us that they are in good standing with State Bar of Michigan and maintain malpractice insurance coverage.
